David Sawyer Named Executive Vice President of Cliffs Club Partners
June 9, 2014TRAVELERS REST, SC – Arendale Holdings Corp. and the board of Silver Sun Partners, owner of The Cliffs Communities, has announced that David Sawyer, most recently Chief Operating Officer of Cliffs Club Partners, has been named Executive Vice President of the organization. Sawyer will assume the responsibilities of Davis Sezna who has resigned his position at Cliffs Club Partners in order to become one of the Managing Partners for T3 Golf Holdings and Heritage Golf Group.
Sawyer joined The Cliffs in 2007 as the General Manager of the Cliffs Valley. He advanced to Regional Manager of the Valley, Glassy and Mountain Park clubs, and then served as Vice President of The Cliffs Club and Hospitality Group. Sawyer has been Chief Operating Officer of all seven Cliffs mountain and lake clubs for the past two years. His executive management experience also includes clubs in Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Sawyer holds a BA in Public Relations and Tourism from Pennsylvania State University and served as Vice Conseiller Culinaire of Chaine des Rôtisseurs from 2008-2010.

Sezna joined Cliffs Club Partners as CEO in August 2012, previously working with Pyramid Hotel Group LLC where he served as president of La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA WEST.

In December 2013, Jacksonville, Fla.-based Arendale Holdings acquired the shareholder interests of SunTx Urbana and The Carlile Group to become the sole owner and manager of The Cliffs communities. Arendale and its affiliates control and manage the real estate development and sales functions, as well as club operations for The Cliffs Communities, which include Mountain Park, Valley, Glassy, Keowee Springs, Keowee Falls, Keowee Vineyards, Walnut Cove and High Carolina.
