Deadline to Register to Vote in Primary is Approaching

The Board of Voter Registration & Elections of Laurens County is reminding voters that the registration deadline for the Democratic Presidential Primary is right around the corner. Voters must register by Tuesday, January 25 to be eligible to vote in the Democratic Primary. The deadline for the Republican Presidential Primary is Thursday, January 23.

There are several ways to register:

• Register online at scVOTES.gov (information must be current with the DMV).
• Download a voter registration form from scVOTES.gov. Complete and return the form to our office by fax, email, or mail. Fax: 864-983-2529. Email: lwest@co.laurens.sc.us. Mail: 105 Bolt Dr, Laurens 29360

Already registered? Check your registration at scVOTES.gov today to make sure your address is up to date:

• If you have moved from one county to another, you must register in your new county by the deadline to be eligible to vote.
• If you’ve moved within your county or changed your name recently, update your information prior to election day to help ensure a smoother voting process.
