Debra Sparacino named Clemson University registrar
January 21, 2015CLEMSON – Debra Sparacino has been named registrar at Clemson University, according to the Office of Undergraduate Studies and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Bob Jones.
Sparacino has been serving as interim registrar since April 1 of 2014 and has worked with the Office of the Registrar for more than 30 years.
“As registrar, I will collaborate with my staff and with other stakeholders on campus to deliver academic policies, services and technology that meet the evolving needs of our campus and that are consistent with the academic goals and mission of Clemson University,” said Sparacino.Sparacino has been serving as interim registrar since April 1 of 2014 and has worked with the Office of the Registrar for more than 30 years.
With her new position, she hopes to focus on completing the implementation phase of iRoar, an information system that houses all student data. She believes it to be the foundation for the future needs of the campus relative to student enrollment.
The Office of the Registrar focuses on providing technologically current services in the broad areas of registration, student enrollment, degree audit and certification, and transcripts. The overall goal of this department is to maintain the accuracy and integrity of Clemson University’s academic records.
