McMillan Pazdan Smith announced that Dee Dee Bonds has joined the firm as Healthcare Interiors Leader, bringing more than 20 years of expertise in creating thoughtful, healing-centered healthcare environments.

Dee Dee is a recognized leader in healthcare interior design, having previously led interior design practices at HOK and HKS. She is known for her ability to translate complex clinical and organizational needs into evidence-based spaces that elevate both human dignity and operational performance. Her work reflects a core belief that healthcare design is never just about space, it’s about people.

Dee Dee’s portfolio spans a wide range of healthcare settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities, behavioral health, pediatrics, oncology, and specialty care. She has led interior design strategy for projects ranging from $6M renovations to $450M+ replacement hospitals and campus expansions. Her experience extends across community, academic, and pediatric healthcare systems nationwide.

At MPS, she will partner with healthcare executives, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to tackle high-stakes challenges across planning, programming, and design delivery to ensure environments support patients, families, caregivers, and staff alike.
