Demolition of Bridgepointe Townhomes begins

Demolition of the Bridgepoint Townhomes will begin at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2019.

The city of Charleston purchased the 32 townhomes, located within the Church Creek drainage basin, using hazard mitigation grants from the Federal Emergency Management agency, after the homes flooded four separate times in three years.

Following demolition, the properties will remain greenspace in perpetuity.
