Denmark Technical College announces Brandon T. Jackson as 2025 commencement speaker

Brandon T. Jackson’s rise to fame is a remarkable journey that showcases his dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to his passions. From his humble beginnings in Detroit, where he grew up in a faith-driven environment as the son of two pastors, Jackson discovered his love for comedy and acting at a young age. His performances at talent shows and church gatherings laid the foundation for his future in entertainment. At just 14, he was already making waves in the local scene and by 19 he had earned critical acclaim for his breakout role in the film Roll Bounce.
Jackson’s career continued to flourish with diverse roles in blockbuster films like Thunderstruck, Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son, Tropic Thunder, and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. His work in both film and television has earned him widespread recognition, cementing his place as one of Hollywood’s most versatile and dynamic entertainers. He currently stars as Marquis Duncan in the breakout BET hit The Family Business: New Orleans.
