Denmark Technical College announces investiture of 10th president Eric Brown

December 17, 2025
Denmark Technical College will celebrate a historic occasion with the investiture of its 10th president, Eric Brown, Ph.D., on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. in the William L. McDuffie Student Life Center. The public ceremony, themed “Innovate. Elevate. Transform.,” marks a milestone in the college’s history and reflects Brown’s early impact on the institution.
That evening, the college will host the President’s Legacy Scholarship Gala from 6 to 9 p.m. in the same venue. The formal event will bring together community leaders, alumni, faculty, staff and supporters to celebrate the college’s growth and raise funds for student scholarships.
“The investiture of Dr. Brown represents an important moment in Denmark Technical College’s history,” said Kevin Whitt, chairman of the Denmark Technical College Area Commission. “He is already making a meaningful impact. We look forward to seeing his leadership strengthen the college’s legacy and expand opportunities for students across the region.”
“Every scholarship we award helps remove a barrier for a student who wants to learn, grow and build a better future,” Brown said. “These funds give students the access and encouragement they need to succeed and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who contributes to making that possible.”
