Dent Middle School student competes at National Beta Convention and schools earn Beta Club recognitions

Dent Middle School student Caroline Brandes is competing at the National Beta Convention this week in Nashville, Tennessee. Earlier in the school year, Brandes won 1st Place in the category of Creative Writing and 2nd Place in Eighth Grade Language Arts at the State Meet.

National Beta recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to schools and communities, and fosters leadership skills. National Junior Beta includes grades 4-8 and National Senior Beta includes grades 9-12.

Several elementary, middle and high schools in Richland Two received 2021-2022 National Beta School of Distinction and National Beta School of Merit honors. Schools receive National Beta School of Merit for including members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta Club.
