Dermatologist Ashton Rountree, MD, joins Germain Dermatology

Germain Dermatology of Mount Pleasant, S.C. welcomes dermatologist Ashton Rountree, MD, to the Germain Dermatology. Dr. Rountree will begin seeing patients on Tuesday, August 1 and is currently accepting new patients for all medical dermatology conditions.
Ashton Rountree, MD, is a native of Bainbridge, Georgia. She received a dual degree in biology and psychology from the University of Georgia. She earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine, located in Macon, Georgia. After her internship in internal medicine, Dr. Rountree completed her residency in dermatology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.

Throughout each phase of Dr. Rountree’s academic and professional path, her passion and commitment to the field of medicine took her beyond her studies and job requirements. She has traveled abroad for medical philanthropic work in Belize, authored manuscripts in the dermatologic literature, and gave oral presentations at regional conferences. A testament to her patient-focused, competent and attentive practice, Dr. Rountree was named “Intern of the Year” during her internship in internal medicine.
Dr. Rountree is married to Dr. Coyt Rountree, chief resident in radiation oncology at MUSC. In her free time, Dr. Rountree enjoys spending time with her newlywed husband and their dogs, Cooper and Jack. She loves cooking, entertaining, gardening and spending time outdoors (all with appropriate sun protection, of course).
