DEW appoints deputy communications director

COLUMBIA, SC – The S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW) appointed Dorothy Weaver as deputy director of communications and marketing.
Weaver will be involved in developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy for the agency. She has worked in Columbia communications for nearly two decades in agency, nonprofit and corporate roles. Most recently, Weaver served as the director of communications for the Climatic Corporation, a privately held distribution company.
She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Masters of Mass Communications. Weaver lives in Columbia with her husband, John, and three children.
