DHEC: Spartanburg Water’s reclaimed water facilities among the state’s best

Seven of Spartanburg Water’s reclaimed water facilities were recently recognized for environmental and operation excellence from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
DHEC presented its Facility Excellence Award to seven of Spartanburg Water’s reclaimed water facilities:
- Clifton-Converse Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility
- Cowpens-Pacolet River Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility
- Community of Fingerville Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility
- Fairforest Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility
- Lower North Tyger River Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility
- Pacolet Mills Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility
- South Tyger River Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility
These awards are presented to facilities at the South Carolina Environmental Conference recently who demonstrate excellence in facility operations, maintenance and management and the protection of the environment while meeting or exceeding customer expectations, SCDHEC officials stated.
“These awards represent our mission, and validate our approach to ensuring that our reclaimed water operations are safe, reliable and support our unending quest for continuous improvement and, ultimately, excellence in the realm of wastewater treatment,” said Regina Cousar, Spartanburg Water’s Chief Operating Officer.
