Discount Tire, the world’s largest independent tire and wheel retailer, opened its first location in Sumter to meet demand for tires and wheels in Sumter County, South Carolina. Located at 1055 Broad Street, the new tire store is next door to Waffle House in the Sumter Mall parking lot.
Founded in 1960, Discount Tire has grown from a one-man tire shop in Ann Arbor, Michigan into the nation’s leading tire retailer.
