Dominate your market – Produce more than ever

Produce more than ever
Are you a disciple of social media?
Do you spend hours online or on your phone?
Do you text during meals or (gasp!) even driving?
Does this investment of time bring you success?
I’m guessing it doesn’t and you feel guilty about it.
You’re not alone. It has become an addiction.
Even tech entrepreneurs have second thoughts.
Andy Dunn, fashion retailer Bonobos CEO, says:
“On the subway, I look up and see everyone on their phones and I feel like we’re in the Matrix.”
Christian Rudder, online OkCupid CEO, says:
“I secretly hope for a return to a simpler time.”
What’s the solution? We must disciple ourselves.
Take a tip from a highly successful football coach.
Nick Saban’s teams won four national championships.
That’s no fluke. They were at two different schools.
Saban does not text or use email or social media.
His wife Terry gets and answers hundreds of emails.
Saban neither sends or receives emails.
“If you don’t send any, you don’t get any,” he says.
Saban certainly sees the need to communicate.
He prefers face to face or at least on the phone.
He spends time on things that are more productive.
His all-business demeanor has become a legend.
I’m not saying texting or anything else is bad.
It’s what you do with it or it does with you.
You need to have clear, measurable goals each day.
Don’t let technology take over all your time.
You’ll get more done without guilt.
Plan your day and work your plan.
30 minutes three times a day for emails.
Use a timer if you must to limit email messaging.
Let voicemail capture calls and text messages.
Answer them only when you’re ready.
Your productivity will double or triple.
