Dorchester County announces debris disposal options and damage assessment efforts for residents affected by storm damage
June 11, 2024In response to the recent storm on June 10, 2024, Dorchester County residents who experienced storm damage have several options for the disposal of vegetation debris.
Residents can either contact their regular trash hauler for vegetation debris pickup or take their debris to the following convenience site:

- Extended Hours of Operation:
- Tuesday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
To accommodate the anticipated increase in usage, Dorchester County has extended the hours of operation at this site. Please note that this site is strictly for Dorchester County residents only; contractor use is prohibited.
Additionally, Dorchester County has several damage assessment teams out in the community to evaluate the impact of the storm. Residents are encouraged to report their storm damages using the following link: Storm Damage Reporting Form. Accurate reporting helps the county assess the extent of the damage and allocate resources effectively for recovery efforts.
