Dorchester County blood drive open to the public at county buildings on April 13

Dorchester County is partnering with The Blood Connection to host a community blood drive on Monday, April 13, 2026. Residents are encouraged to participate and help save lives by donating blood. Every donation can make a critical difference for patients in local hospitals.
Blood donations are urgently needed to maintain a stable supply for trauma victims, cancer patients, and those undergoing surgeries. One donation can save up to three lives. Donors will also receive TBC Rewards Points, which can be redeemed for e-gift cards.
Blood Drive Locations and Times:
- Dorchester County Water and Sewer (235 Deming Way, Summerville)
- 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Human Services Building (500 N Main Street, Summerville)
- 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Kenny Waggoner Building (201 Johnston Street, St. George)
- 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Public Works Building (2120 E Main Street, Dorchester)
- 7 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
What to Know Before You Donate:
- Bring a photo ID.
- Eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating.
- Most donors must be at least 16 years old (with parental consent) and weigh at least 110 pounds.
