Dorchester County Economic Development welcomes Brooks Hearn

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Dorchester County Economic Development announced the recent addition of Brooks Hearn as its Marketing and Investor Relations Manager.

In this role, Hearn will guide marketing and communications efforts to facilitate new business and economic development and support the vitality of existing industry. Additionally, she will engage current and prospective investors while working toward the advancement of DCED’s strategic goals.

Hearn brings over ten years of experience in communications, marketing and stakeholder relations in the independent school, tourism/hospitality and nonprofit sectors to her new post. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of South Carolina. Hearn was named 2019 Emerging Leader of the Year by the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce and a recipient of Charleston Business Magazine’s Best and Brightest 35 and Under honors.
