Downtown Neighborhoods to Host Annual Home Tour To Support Richland One Schools

December 1, 2014

Sunday, December 7 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

On December 7, 2014, residents of the Shandon and Hollywood-Rose Hill neighborhoods will welcome visitors to the annual Homes for the Holidays Tour.  This event, held in some of Columbia’s most historic neighborhoods, will feature seven unique homes, one distinctive church, and Dreher High School, all decorated for the Holidays.

The tour will take place from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 7.  Advance tickets are $15 and will be available starting November 25 at Revente and Good for the Sole in Five Points, Just the Thing, Brittons, Gibsons, and Piggly Wiggly on Devine Street, Michaelis Mattress on Forest Drive, M Boutique on Cross Hill Road, and at Dreher High School, located at 3319 Millwood Ave.  Admission the day of the tour is $20 and can be purchased at Dreher High School, where the tour begins.  Check www.shandonneighborhood.com or www.hollywoodrosehill.org for additional information.

This year’s tour will delight your senses, with tastes from local restaurants and holiday sounds from classical guitarist Marina Alexadra, whose performance is sponsored by Dr. Ron Burns.

Proceeds from the tour, which is sponsored by the Shandon Neighborhood Council and the Hollywood-Rose Hill Neighborhood Association, will benefit the neighborhoods’ four schools, A.C. Moore Elementary, Rosewood Elementary, Hand Middle School, and Dreher High School, as well as other neighborhood projects.
