Drew Wellness Center pool to close April 13 for renovations
March 24, 2026The pool at the Drew Wellness Center will temporarily close beginning April 13 to allow for significant renovations aimed at improving the facility and enhancing the overall experience for members.
The closure will begin on April 13 to allow crews to drain the pool and conduct deck cleaning and clearance. During this time, overhead lighting within the pool area will also be replaced.
Full construction is scheduled to begin on April 15, with planned improvements including:
- A complete pool chip-out and re-plaster
- Pool deck resurfacing
- Tile replacement
The renovation project is expected to take approximately eight weeks to complete.
During the renovation period, the pool area, locker rooms, and showers associated with the pool will be unavailable. However, the remainder of the Drew Wellness Center facility will remain open and accessible to members.
To ensure members still have access to aquatic amenities during the renovation, Drew Wellness Center members will be able to use the Maxcy Gregg Pool for open swim times beginning May 23 and continuing through the completion of renovations at Drew Wellness Center.
Members must present their Drew Wellness Center membership key fob to gain entry at Maxcy Gregg Pool. Please note that this access does not include Lourie Center water aerobics classes held at Maxcy Gregg Pool.
The City appreciates members’ patience and understanding as these improvements are completed. These upgrades will help ensure the Drew Wellness Center pool remains a high-quality amenity for the community for years to come.
