Duck Duck Goose to open doors on Devine Street in August 2018

Sarah Monteith Rama, Columbia resident and owner of the thriving online children’s shop Duck Duck Goose, announces that she will open the doors to a new shop at 2816 Devine Street in August 2018.
Rama is also renovating and updating the retail space, which has been home to Little Lambs & Ivy, a children’s boutique that closed this summer.
While Duck Duck Goose will offer many children’s clothing lines and brands that Columbia shoppers have come to appreciate, Rama is also excited to announce that she’ll carry lines new to this market, including La Petite Fleur, Little English, The Beaufort Bonnet Company, Harding-Lane, Cheeni, Florence Eiseman and Johnnie-O. Duck Duck Goose will offer many layette options for babies, clothing lines for older boys and girls and plenty of gifts and accessories.
Because Rama is expanding her existing online business, which launched in August 2017, and will soon open the retail store, excited shoppers can continue to shop the collection online at ShopDuckDuckGoose.com. Local customers can continue to expect free, same-day delivery of gift-wrapped products ordered on the website or over the phone. Duck Duck Goose will also offer a baby registry service so that new parents and their friends and relatives can shop locally as they prepare to welcome a new baby.
“As a longtime resident of Columbia, I’m so excited to be expanding my online business and opening Duck Duck Goose on Devine Street,” said Rama. “I look forward to greeting our customers face-to-face and giving them their tried and true brands of children’s clothing and also introducing Columbia to a few new lines as well. It’s a dream come true to have the ability to contribute to the local economy in a town that I love so dearly.”
Rama has a background in architectural sales, but developed an interest in unique children’s clothing as she and her husband welcomed their two children in recent years. The successful launch of Duck Duck Goose online and the fact that Rama has shipped Duck Duck Goose purchases to 23 states, has encouraged Rama that Columbia residents will welcome the new retail space with open arms.
