March 7, 2024Due to the forecast of heavy rain the Cottontown Art Crawl has been POSTPONED until Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 12pm-5pm.
The sixth annual Cottontown Art Crawl brings artists and entertainment to front porches, streets, and lawns in a historic downtown neighborhood in Columbia, SC. This year approximately 200 artists will show and sell their original work. The event will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 12-5pm.
In 2019, the historic neighborhood in downtown Columbia, S.C. held the first Cottontown Art Crawl. The event drew hundreds of people to explore the neighborhood and its businesses and garnered the 2019 Neighborhood Program of the Year from the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods. The event has seen significant growth since, and in 2023 was awarded Best Festival in Columbia by local voters!
“The Cottontown neighborhood is looking forward to supporting the Columbia arts scene on March 9th,” said organizer Julie Seel. “Artists will be selling their work throughout the entire neighborhood. Some of the artists are emerging, some are quite accomplished, and some are award winning, juried artists. So, we truly have something for every level of art enthusiast,” said Seel.
This event is entirely outdoors and spread over several city blocks and features fine art, handmade goods, 7 food trucks, local restaurants, live music with 3 bands playing on the main stage across from Indah Coffee, a bike valet and bike share station, a historic walking tour of the neighborhood, children’s activities, and a new student art exhibition.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Artist and event information will be shared on the Cottontown Art Crawl website, and the map will include detailed artist info and locations. The rain date for the event is Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 12pm-5pm.
