Designed to reengage adults and prepare them for other higher education opportunities or the workforce, Career Online High School allows customers to earn an accredited high school diploma and credentialed career certificate for free.
The only library in the Carolinas to offer this program, Richland Library is accepting 65 students. Applicants must be a Richland County resident, at least 21 years of age and hold a Richland Library card. They’re also required to successfully complete an online self-assessment, pass a prerequisite course and interview prior to enrollment.
Once enrolled, each student is paired with an Academic Coach who offers support and additional resources. Students have up to 18 months to complete the program, but they can graduate in as few as five months by transferring previously-earned high school credits.
