July 15, 2025East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) announced the return of The Big Dill! The second annual charity tournament will be held on October 4, 2025, at the nine-court pickleball facility, The Pickle Bar in Summerville.
Pickleball enthusiasts, players of all skill levels, and community members are invited to participate in this exciting event, held in partnership with Pickleball Charleston. The Big Dill celebrates sportsmanship and teamwork through the nation’s fastest-growing sport while providing a top-tier experience to every player who steps on the court—all while supporting ECCO’s mission of providing help and hope to local neighbors facing financial distress.
“The Big Dill is not just about playing the sport we love; it’s about making a difference in the lives of those in our community who need it most,” said Ashley Avera, Marketing Manager at ECCO. “All proceeds from this event will help ECCO continue offering vital support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. The support of community members like you allows us to assist our neighbors while enjoying a fun and competitive weekend.”
Founded as an emergency relief effort in 1989 after the devastation from Hurricane Hugo, East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) provides help and hope to local neighbors facing financial hardship in the community. All programs and services strive to help neighbors find a path toward opportunity and aim to improve the quality of life in our community in a compassionate way that respects the dignity and worth of every person.
