EDTS’ Pelletier Earns Key Information Technology Credential

GREENVILLE, SC – November 20, 2013 – EDTS, a regional IT services company specializing in managed IT services, network security, and advanced infrastructure for Southeastern businesses, announced that security and network consultant Paul Pelletier has attained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification. The certification is symbolic of attaining a globally accepted standard of achievement among information systems (IS) audit, control and security professionals. Roughly 100,000 such designations have been conveyed since inception in 1978.
The CISA certification is designed for those who audit, control, monitor and assess an enterprise’s information technology and business systems. CISA professionals are recognized internationally as professionals with the assurance knowledge, skills, experience and credibility to leverage standards, manage vulnerabilities, ensure compliance, offer solutions, institute controls and deliver value to an enterprise.
To earn the accreditation, individuals must successfully complete the CISA examination, adhere to a special Code of Professional Ethics, demonstrate evidence of at least five years of professional IS auditing or security work experience, adhere to the Information Systems Auditing Standards, and agree to comply with a rigorous continuing education policy.

Mr. Pelletier joined EDTS in 2012 when his former company merged with EDTS operations in Augusta, Georgia. A native of Greece, he worked extensively in private industry prior to joining EDTS. Among numerous IT certifications, Mr. Pelletier is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, a Microsoft-certified Solutions Expert and Systems Administrator, and a Fortinet Certified Security Professional.
Married with three daughters, he is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Augusta, a member of the Rotary Club of Augusta West, and active in the ISACA SC-Midlands Chapter and ISSA Augusta Chapter.
