EdVenture needs community votes to turn $30K into $200K for local kids (Vote by Sept. 30)

September 25, 2025

EdVenture named regional winner for Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards; community voting could lift grant from $30,000 to up to $200,000 by Sept. 30.

EdVenture Children’s Museum has been selected as a regional winner of the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards, securing a $30,000 grant. With public voting, that award could increase to as much as $200,000. Voting is open now through September 30 in the Chick-fil-A app.

Local Impact at a Glance

  • 224,106 total visitors last year (177,002 Columbia; 47,104 Myrtle Beach)
  • 19,037 students on field trips from approximately 293 schools
  • 32,894 hands-on STEM and literacy lab participants
  • 32,014 Yes, Every Child subsidized admissions – – so cost is not a barrier

Why This Matters Now

Founded in 2003, EdVenture is now inspiring a second generation; some of our earliest visitors are returning with their own children. Additional funding would immediately expand Title I and rural field-trip scholarships, scale STEM labs (seats, supplies, instructors), increase Sensory Nights, grow Yes, Every Child access, refresh exhibits, and extend mobile outreach to libraries and community sites.
