Eight Clinton Wrestlers Qualify for State Championships

The Clinton Red Devils wrestling team made a strong showing at the Individual Upper State Championships on Saturday, with eight wrestlers earning spots in the state tournament. The competition, held ahead of next week’s state finals, saw Clinton’s athletes battle their way through tough brackets to secure their place among the best in South Carolina.
The following Red Devils qualified for the SCHSL State Championships at the Florence Civic Center, February 21-22:

- Cameron Jackson
- Prince Bluford
- Emmanuel Lagroon
- Jackson Wooten
- Henry Cody
- Owen Lawton
- Rylan Lawton
Their performance highlights the strength of Clinton’s wrestling program, which continues to produce top-tier athletes ready to compete at the highest level.
The Red Devils will now turn their focus to the state tournament, where they will face off against the best wrestlers from across South Carolina. The event, set to take place next week in Florence, will determine individual state champions in their respective weight classes.
