Electronics Waste Recycling- February 15, 2014
Keep the Midlands Beautiful in partnership with the Town of Irmo will be hosting an electronics waste recycling event on Saturday, February 15, 2014, from 9:00am a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The recycling event will be held at Crossroads Middle School located at 6949 St Andrews Rd, Columbia, SC 2912
The following electronics will be accepted for recycling from Lexington and Richland County residents only:
- Computers (laptops, monitors, CPU’s, keyboards, printers, scanners)
- TV’s
- Copiers
- VCR and DVD Players
- Fax Machines
- Telephone Systems
- Cell Phones
- Household electronics including stereo’s, Radio’s, PDA’s and Electronic Game Systems
Electronic Waste must be recycled and not placed in the garbage in accordance with the SC Code of Law, 48-60-05 et seq. Residents should keep electronics intact for the purpose of recycling. Please, no refrigeration units or appliances that contain Freon of any kind.
