Ira Bedenbaugh to Address Local Chapter on Medical Practice and Insurance Company Relationships
AUGUSTA, GA – March 20, 2009 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, announced that firm Principal Ira Bedenbaugh will serve as a guest speaker at a meeting of the Central Savannah River Area Medical Managers Association (CSRA-MMA) on Mar. 26, 2009. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m.at Washington Hall, 2860 Washington Rd., Augusta, Ga.
Bedenbaugh’s presentation, Insurance Companies! will address how medical managers can effectively work with insurance companies. Bedenbaugh will describe best practices for understanding managed care contracts and improving reimbursements for patient care.
As the leader of Elliott Davis’s medical practices group, Bedenbaugh focuses on helping physician practices and hospitals improve how they manage short and long-term financial and operational challenges. His responsibilities include analyzing physician practice infrastructure, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing workflow processes and technologies that increase business performance and address government compliance issues.
Bedenbaugh served previously as a principal of Protime LLC, a medical management consulting firm, and as the practice administrator of The Family Healthcare Center.
Bedenbaugh earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management and a master’s degree in business administration from Clemson University. He is a former member and past president of the Rotary Club of Laurens, S.C.; former board member and past treasurer of the United Way of Laurens County; former board member of the Laurens Chamber of Commerce and a former board member of Senior Options, also in Laurens
