Elliott Davis Senior Manager Named Among the Charleston Regional Business Journal's Forty Under 40 for 2010

A certified public accountant and senior audit manager in the firm’sCharleston, S.C. office, Schaefers will be recognized at an event on May13 at The Landing at Shem Creek. At the awards ceremony, the CharlestonRegional Business Journal will salute a total of 40 people under40 years of age who are making their mark with professional success andcommunity involvement.
With 10 years of public accounting experience, Schaefers joinedElliott Davis in 2008 as a manager and was quickly promoted to seniormanager within a year. A young leader in her profession, she iscurrently chairing the executive committee of the South CarolinaAssociation of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA) Young CPAs Cabinetfor 2010-11.
At Elliott Davis, Schaefers organizes the Charleston office’squarterly service project with Lowcountry Orphan Relief; serves asco-campaign director for the annual United Way campaign; and isorganizing a volunteer day this month with the Charleston MiracleLeague. In the greater community, she is a steering committee memberfor the Trident United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council and participatesin many other causes including Rotary of Charleston, March of Dimes,Water Missions International and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
