Elliott Sawmilling Company Inc. Announces Expansion in Hampton County

Investment expected to generate new jobs

HAMPTON COUNTY, SC – June 14, 2011 – Gov. Nikki Haley, the South CarolinaDepartment of Commerce, Hampton County and the SouthernCarolina RegionalDevelopment Alliance today announced that Elliott Sawmilling CompanyInc. will expand its current facility in Hampton County. The $800,000investment is expected to generate 15 new jobs.

“Elliott Sawmilling Company is proud to announce that we will beexpanding our operation,” said Nash Elliott, products manager of ElliottSawmilling Company. “As part of the expansion, we will add a railsiding to transport lumber, allowing us to reach markets that we wouldotherwise not be able to reach. The expansion will create 15 new jobsand position Elliott Sawmilling Co. as a strong business in the future.Thanks to the hard work of the Southern Carolina Alliance, HamptonCounty, and the South Carolina Department of Commerce, this expansionhas become a reality.”

Elliott Sawmilling Company is expanding its operations at its Estillfacility. The company plans to add a rail siding and loading area to thefacility. Work on the expansion is expected to be completed by July2012.
