Emmy® nominated Coal Powered Filmworks, celebrates 10th anniversary

Coal Powered Filmworks, a Columbia, S.C. based broadcast production company is celebrating their 10th anniversary this fall.  The five-time Southeast Regional Emmy® nominated company, founded in 2008 by owner Wade Sellers, has been lauded both nationally and internationally for their work.  A 2016 documentary production “Return to Normandy” was an opening night film of the 2017 Normandie International Film Festival.

Sellers’ company has provided award winning commercial and documentary work to numerous local, state, and federal organizations as well as to the arts and small business clients including ExperienceColumbiaSC, for their work on a recent national tourism campaign.

“Looking back, starting a business from scratch especially during a recession seems a little crazy.  But we definitely found our niche and here we are today, ten years later, with a lot of great work, great clients and great friends. Cheers to the next 10 years!” says Sellers.
