Engenius launches 2015 Grants Campaign
May 18, 2015GREENVILLE, SC – Upstate web marketing and design firm, Engenius, started its 2015 Grants program by honoring past winners Monday morning.
Engenius recognized the previous nine winners of Engenius Grants at a special celebration of five years of the grant program. Engenius also announced the opening of this year’s grant application season. Engenius has given more than $127,000 to the community via the Grants program and other community giving in the past five years, said Chris Manley, the firm’s managing partner.
“This ceremony gives us the opportunity to show how the Engenius Grants impacts the Upstate community by bringing the past recipients together at one time,” Manley said.
Engenius selects two local non-profit organizations yearly to support with professional marketing development. The Grant recipients receive a fully developed website, web hosting and support, marketing consultation, and access to marketing seminars. The value of these grants is more than $12,000.
Organizations located and serving within Oconee, Pickens, Anderson, Greenwood, Laurens, Spartanburg, and Greenville counties are eligible to apply. Interested parties can apply at www.engeniusweb.com through June 5.
The nine previous winners are the Warehouse Theatre, Soteria Community Development Corporation, Ronald McDonald House of the Carolinas, Loaves and Fishes, Shalom House, Blue Tent (formerly known as Camp Opportunity), Gardening for Good (a program of Greenville Forward), Center for Community Services and Pendleton Place.
As part of Monday’s announcement at the Warehouse Theatre in downtown Greenville, each past recipient received a top hat, which is part of the Engenius logo, and then tipped to one another as well as the Engenius team.
“We are very proud to have been an Engenius Grants recipient,” said Paul Savas, executive and artistic director of the Warehouse Theatre. “We would advise that any other nonprofit in the region apply.”
The idea for the Engenius Grants grew out of the idea that nonprofits need a professional and functional website to help them stand apart, Manley said. The Engenius team saw many nonprofits lacked websites that adequately promoted their mission. It is part of Engenius’ larger mission to balance business with serving the community through unique partnerships.
“At the end of the day, this is how Engenius can make a better Upstate community,” Manley said.’
