Dr. Susan Johnson, Founder, Nature at Work
Nature at Work is a new statewide initiative that helps employers, educators, and communities integrate nature into daily life and leadership. Officially launched on July 14 in Columbia, the platform brings together cross-sector leaders committed to creating a healthier, more resilient South Carolina. By connecting organizations to nature-based strategies, service providers, and partnerships, Nature at Work supports efforts to improve well-being, build stronger communities, and restore ecosystems.
The initiative was founded by Dr. Susan Johnson, a recognized leader in public health and workforce well-being. Her vision for Nature at Work stems from a deep understanding of how access to nature can positively impact physical, mental, and social health. The platform offers an evidence-informed framework to help organizations embed nature into workplace culture, leadership strategies, and community development.
