Entrepreneur Minute – Jonathan Yantis, Quicksort RX

Jonathan Yantis, the co-founder and CEO of QuicksortRx, is a Charleston native who turned his early passion for technology into a transformative career in healthcare. As a network architect at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Yantis gained extensive insights into healthcare operations. His decision to start QuicksortRx came once he met MUSC pharmacist, Matt Hebbard, and learned about the outdated state of pharmacy supply chain management.

QuicksortRx Inc. was founded with a vision to enhance efficiency in hospital pharmacy supply chains. The company’s software originated as an innovation project for MUSC’s own supply chain in 2016, aiming to build upon the health system’s already strong performance in pharmacy spend management. Through years of collaboration with pharmacy experts, QuicksortRx developed a solution designed to provide high-value decision support for medication purchasing. In 2019, the company partnered with MUSC’s Foundation for Research and Development to expand its reach, helping health systems nationwide achieve tens of millions of dollars in cost savings.
