Larry Schneeberger, Farmers Market Xchange
Located at 912 Lady Street in Columbia, Farmers Market Xchange by Toms Creek Farms opened its doors on September 1, 2023. Situated at the corner of Lady Street and Lincoln Street, the market operates Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering coffee, bread, meats, cheese, and more. Hot lunches are served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring dishes made with the freshest, natural, and organic ingredients sourced from Toms Creek Family Farm and trusted suppliers cultivated over decades of partnerships.
Farmers Market Xchange stems from the legacy of Toms Creek Family Farms, founded in 2018. Located on 176 acres in Eastover/Hopkins, the farm produces fresh greens, vegetables, fruits, poultry, olive oil, and more through sustainable farming practices. Dedicated to ecological agriculture, Toms Creek Family Farms emphasizes biodiversity, environmental protection, and safe farming techniques that adhere to South Carolina laws. The farm supplies products to both retail and wholesale customers, including through its on-site location and the downtown Columbia Soda City market, ensuring the community has access to healthy, high-quality foods.
