Erwin Penland Hires Six, Promotes Two

GREENVILLE, SC – January 25, 2012 – Erwin Penland has hired Beth Cobb as a junior media buyer, Laura Connell and BreAnne Northcutt as assistant account executives, Randall Blake Cring and Sallie Harrison as graphic designers, and David Fraga as operations coordinator, also promoting Gloria Gonzalez and Kristin Popham to senior graphic designers. 

Cobb will help manage broadcast media buys for agency clients, including Dunkin Donuts, Advance America and Lennar, one of the nation’s largest home builders.   Previously she was a media coordinator at Impressions Media Services, also in Greenville.  Cobb earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of South Carolina.

Connell will work on the Verizon Wireless account and arrives from Infinity Marketing in Greenville, where she worked as a production assistant.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Clemson University.
 
Cring joins the agency’s studio design team and will be responsible for preparing online, digital and print communications materials for a variety of agency clients.  Most recently he was a promotion team member with radio station 98.1-WHZT in Greenville.  Cring graduated with an associate’s degree in graphic design from Greenville Technical College.
 
A native of Los Angeles, Fraga will handle the agency’s building operations.  He previously worked as a legal courier for ABC Legal Services in Seattle and attended Seattle Central Community College.
 
Harrison arrives at Erwin Penland as a graphic designer, where she’ll support the agency’s Verizon Wireless team.  She joins EP after working for oobe in Greenville as a graphic designer.  Harrison earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Bob Jones University, also in Greenville.
 
Northcutt comes to EP as an assistant account executive supporting the Verizon Wireless team.  This is her first employment since graduating with a degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina.
 
Having joined Erwin Penland more than two years ago, Gonzalez is being promoted from graphic designer and will continue supporting the Verizon Wireless account.  She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga.
 
Earning one of the agency’s newcomer of the year awards in 2011, Popham has been promoted from graphic designer and will also support the Verizon Shopper Marketing team.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y.
