Erwin-Penland Promotes One, Hires Five

GREENVILLE, SC – April 11, 2011 – Erwin-Penland (EP), a division of The Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday and one of the five largest advertising and marketing firms in the Southeast, has promoted Elizabeth Ingram to public relations account executive.  EP has also hired Tara Healy as technical writer, Leslie Scott as junior account executive, Michael Brown as account executive, Matt Bainton as web developer and Corey Volt as operations coordinator. 

Joining EP two and a half years ago, Ingram (pictured right) has been promoted from public relations junior account executive and will take on a larger role in developing and implementing public relations strategies for the agency’s clients.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Clemson University.

Healy joins EP’s Verizon team as a technical writer for Verizon Wireless’ B2B communications team.  She comes to EP after serving a public relations senior account manager for Jeff Dezen Publications, also in Greenville.  Healy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and public relations from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn.

Scott arrives at EP as a junior account executive working on Verizon Wireless’ B2B digital systems team.  Scott previously worked at PivotPoint Business Solutions in Huntsville, Ala. as a marketing and communications coordinator.  She is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.

Brown joins EP as an account executive on Verizon’s sponsorship team.  Most recently he served as an account executive at Zimmerman Advertising in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.  Brown is a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in advertising.

Bainton brings his web development expertise to EP as a front-end developer, turning creative web designs into functioning websites.  Before coming to EP, Bainton ran his own web development company, In Like a Lion.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in art from Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss.

Volt joins EP as operations assistant and will be responsible for organizing and orchestrating internal agency duties.  He comes to EP after representing Confluence Water Sports in Easley, S.C. as a freestyle kayaker.  He is currently attending Greenville Technical College pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
