Erwin-Penland's Melissa Edwards Appointed to Word of Mouth Marketing Association Ethics Panel

January 10, 2010

GREENVILLE, SC – January 4, 2010 – Erwin-Penland is proud to announce the appointment of Melissa Edwards to the Membership Ethics Advisory Panel (MEAP) of the Chicago-based Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA).

Edwards, an Associate Media Director at Erwin-Penland, will join the MEAP for a one year, Board of Directors appointed term.  The panel is comprised of management-level professionals from WOMMA member companies and is tasked with investigating ethics complaints against both members and potential members.

“Melissa’s service on the WOMMA Members Ethics Advisory Panel will allow WOMMA to further expand its ability to identify trends in the marketplace which require WOMMA to develop minimum guidelines and to further educate our members on how to professionally handle these new issues,” WOMMA Executive Director Kristen Smith said.

A 20 year veteran of the marketing industry, Edwards joined Erwin-Penland in 2000 as a Media Supervisor.  She began her career with MidCoast Communications and also served as Media Supervisor for KWB Advertising in Greenville before joining Erwin-Penland.
