Escape To Margaritaville closes out season 98 at Greenville Theatre
May 14, 2024Greenville Theatre invites you to join in celebrating Escape to Margaritaville as we close out season 98. You will be singing along to the hit songs of Jimmy Buffett brought to life in this hilarious new musical! Audiences will get a kick out of meeting two very different people: one that is extremely career-focused and one that believes “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere”, who ultimately change each other’s lives in Paradise.
Directed by Ashley Robinson with choreography by Michael Cherry, this vibrant cast is led by Jacob Seay, Jamie Ann Walters, Neel Patrick Edwards, Celia Blitzer, Stan Peal, Kristofer Parker, and Bev Clowney.
“Jimmy Buffet was my father’s favorite artist, so these songs are the first tunes that wafted into my consciousness,” says Director Ashley Robinson. “I think people sometimes forget not only how entertaining and witty his music is, but also how sophisticated and poignant. This show is the escape and the coming together we all need right now. Buffet’s music does that. He brings people together and celebrates humanity.”
Featuring hit songs like “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” audience members and “parrotheads” alike will be falling in love and humming along to this perfect summer musical by comedian Mike O’Malley, with music and lyrics by Jimmy Buffett himself.
This production is rated 16+ for language and mature themes.
