Cola Rosé Shower creates awareness about women’s healthcare, facilitates 40,000+  feminine product donations in the Midlands

The 4th annual Cola Rosé Shower will be held on Saturday, February 8 at 3PM at the Williams-Brice Stadium’s Traditions Club (1125 George Rogers Blvd). Ticket donations are $75.00 and include an open bar of rosé / frosé accompanied by delicious bites by Southern Way Catering. Feminine product donations will be collected for Sistercare and The Period Project to benefit women and girls with limited resources in the Midlands. Everyone is encouraged to wear a shade of pink as we dance the day away to hits with Shejay T.O. (Gamecocks Women’s Basketball official DJ).

Approximately 49% of women in the United States ages 18-64 reported having an ongoing medical condition that required monitoring, care or medication (KFF.org). In South Carolina, 1 in 5 women and girls between the ages of 12 and 44 live below the Federal Poverty Line. Period resources are among one of the most significant needs of women’s health for youth and women of childbearing age.

Deonna Wylie is the founder and chair of Cola Rosé Shower and uses her own personal testimony as fuel for the cause. After a challenging 10 years of fibroids, she was left with no choice but to have a hysterectomy at the age of 36. She created the Cola Rosé Shower in 2021 as a place to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
