City of Georgetown Public Hearing on Budget Amendment
November 19 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
The Georgetown City Council will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed amendment to its fiscal year 2026/2027 budget. The proposed First Budget Amendment would allocate an additional $76,500 to the General Fund, bringing the amended General Fund total to $17,244,306 and raising the city’s overall budget to $57,583,824.
According to public notice, the supplemental funding is designated for temporary personnel overlap, employee training, and the transition of job responsibilities. Funding for all other municipal funds—including utility, debt service, and reserve funds—will remain unchanged.
Pursuant to state law, members of the public, proponents, and opponents will have the opportunity to offer input in person or through counsel during the hearing. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the city’s Facebook page.
