Greer Christmas Parade 2022

December 4, 2022 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Get ready to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas as we kick off the holiday season at the annual Greer Christmas parade Sunday, Dec. 4th from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. The theme this year will be A Toyland Christmas. Grab your spot on the 1.1-mile parade route starting at Poinsett St. & Memorial Dr. and ending at N. Main St. & Cunningham Dr. and enjoy festive holiday floats, marching bands, fire trucks, and a visit from Mrs. Claus and Santa, of course

The parade will be presided over by Grand Marshall Rep. Rita Allison.  Rita served as a leader in the S.C. House of Representatives for 10 years from 1993 to 2002.

Judging this year’s parade will be Greer Relief Board of Directors, Scott Harke, Christine Scarpelli from News Channel 7, and VP of Brand Experience at the United Way of the Piedmont, Alex Moore. Greer Relief is excited to announce that they will be hosting the 2nd annual Christmas Toy Drive this year. There will be multiple donation boxes along the parade route and all donations will be used to stock Greer Relief’s Christmas Morning Shoppe for those in need this holiday season.

The Sensory Safe Zone will be available again for those who would like to watch the parade without the sensory overload of loud noises and vibrations. This zone will be on Poinsett St. and will stretch for a block along the parade route between Memorial Dr and Hubert St. Parade entries are asked to refrain from revving their engines, using sirens, air horns, and car horns along this portion of the parade route. The public is encouraged to stand in the Sensory Safe Zone, but are asked to be respectful and supportive of this unique space.
