Issaqueena Chapter DAR Meet & Greet
March 8 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Issaqueena Chapter of the South Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution (SCDAR) is inviting the community to a special Meet & Greet event to learn more about Today’s DAR and how to begin the membership process.
The event will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Las Cascadas Mexican Restaurant, 301 96 Highway, Ninety-Six, SC.
Women interested in joining the DAR are encouraged to attend and bring any genealogical documentation, such as copies of birth, death, or marriage certificates for themselves, their spouse (if married), parents, and grandparents. If attendees have already started tracing their ancestry or have knowledge of a Patriot ancestor, they are welcome to bring that information as well.
The Issaqueena Chapter’s Registrar, State Volunteer Genealogist, and Regent will be available to guide attendees through the process of verifying lineage and beginning their DAR application. Whether individuals are just starting their research or already have a family connection to a DAR member, this event offers a valuable opportunity to receive expert assistance.
“We welcome anyone who is curious about their family’s history and interested in becoming part of a service-based lineage society,” said Stephanie Lynn Bowen, Regent of the Issaqueena Chapter. “The DAR is committed to promoting patriotism, historic preservation, and education. This event is a great way to connect with our chapter and explore membership.”
Everyone is welcome, and guests are encouraged to bring a friend. Lunch will be available for purchase. Those planning to attend should RSVP by emailing [email protected].
