Revolutionary War Artifacts and Insights at Laurens County Museum

June 10 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, Ashmore will present a freewheeling discussion about his journey in learning about the Revolutionary War in America and, particularly, the southern colonies – “What I Have Learned in My Studies of the American Revolution”.  In his words, “Local, local, local.  It happened here!“ There was a primitiveness in the pioneer world.  The geography, weaponry, religion, and the clash of cultures involved all had an effect on the road of the Patriots and Loyalists in South Carolina.  Our local history changed world events. There was a revolutionary change in the structure and nature of government.  All will be discussed.
