Rudy Socha, CEO of Wounded Nature- Working Veterans will lead an informative presentation entitled “Beyond Plastic and Straws: Abandoned Boats and Treated Wood Littering our Coastal Areas.” Socha is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and he will address the organization’s focused efforts to clean up debris on the Sampit and surrounding rivers in Georgetown.

As always, the event is free and open to the public. Hosted by the Friends of the Georgetown Library. This will be the final installment of the 2025-26 series; it will start back in the fall. Stay tuned for the more details on the new schedule.
