Guided by retired forester Dan Scheffing and Master Naturalist Mathilde Dumond, participants will hike a portion of the Preserve to look at the forest ecologically, moving through the property to the Longleaf Pine restoration area while discussing restoration and managing it for human interactions, too. Along the way, everyone will be looking at the flora and looking for the fauna that calls the preserve home.
