Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers commit to fighting hunger for the 7th year
November 4, 2021For the 7th year, Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers will continue a tradition of giving, donating $1, to Harvest Hope Food Bank for every oil change performed in the Columbia area during the month of November. Since 2015, this drive has provided over 250,000 meals to those facing hunger in the Midlands community.
“As we enter the holidays, utilities and overall expenses are higher, and food insecurity among our neighbors in need rises,” says Erinn Rowe, Harvest Hope CEO. “We are thankful for our community partners like Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers for encouraging their team and local community to give back to those who are facing hunger this year.”
In addition to the Express Oil’s $1 donation for every oil change, customers are encouraged to donate to help their neighbors in need this holiday season. Those wishing to donate should let their technician know upon arrival.
“Harvest Hope provides critical services in the battle to fight hunger throughout the entire state of South Carolina,” says Gregg Gaskins, owner of Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers here in the Midlands. “It’s a privilege for us to continue our annual donation drive during the month of November to raise awareness and funds that help offset the cost of serving those in need.”

About Harvest Hope Food Bank
Harvest Hope is building a hunger-free tomorrow in 20 counties across South Carolina. Rescuing food from stores that is at risk of being discarded, as well as sourcing food from the community and producers, they distribute it to local food pantries and through multiple feeding programs. These programs provide food for some of SC’s most vulnerable citizens – children, seniors, and rural residents who don’t have access to reliable transportation to grocery stores. Annually, Harvest Hope provides over 22 million meals to neighbors in need across their service area. To learn more, visit harvesthope.org.
