EY announces Jack DeMao of Electric Guard Dog Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2017 Award finalist in the Southeast
May 8, 2017COLUMBIA, SC – EY announced that CEO Jack DeMao of Electric Guard Dog is a finalist for the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2017 Award in the Southeast. The awards program, which is celebrating its 31st year, recognizes entrepreneurs who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Jack was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala on June 8 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.
CEO Jack DeMao commented, “I would like to thank Tom Maupin of VACO for the nomination, the judges for advancing that nomination, EY for the opportunity, as well as everyone at Electric Guard Dog, without whom, none of this would be possible. I’d especially like to thank the founder and inventor of Electric Guard Dog, Bill Mullis. Customers call and send letters every day saying that EGD saved their business. One young woman contacted us right after she moved into her dorm at college. She said she was only able to go to college because Electric Guard Dog stopped the relentless theft that would have otherwise driven her parents out of business. Calls like that remind me of our purpose at Electric Guard Dog. We aren’t just saving businesses from theft; we are saving the goals and dreams our customers have for themselves and their children. I’m proud to continue Bill’s work developing that service on behalf of the many, many people and companies in the American Supply Chain who need EGD to be safe from crime.”
Now in its 31st year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 145 cities and more than 60 countries throughout the world.
Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National competition. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 18, 2017. The awards are the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum™, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
