Family Circle Magazine lists World Famous Hip-Hop Family Day among top 50 family-friendly festivals
June 22, 2018Family Circle Magazine selected Columbia’s World Famous Hip-Hop Family Day as the top family-friendly festival in South Carolina and among the top 50 in the nation.
On newsstands now, the July issue of the publication features one festival per state by month. Putting Columbia on the map for its 16 million readers, Family Circle spotlights the April festival as a must-visit for South Carolina:

Held on Columbia’s Main Street during the second weekend in April, this annual festival recently celebrated its sixth year with an all-female lineup headed by the legendary MC Lyte. Offering an unforgettable day of fun for all ages, World Famous Hip-Hop Family Day gathers the community together like no other event in the city. With 16,000 in attendance for 2018, the free festival’s attendance has grown exponentially from 4,000 in its inaugural year. Over 40 percent of attendees come from outside of Columbia, SC.
