Faulkner Attains Orthopaedic Nursing Certification
January 13, 2010CONWAY, SC – January 13, 2010 – Jennifer Faulkner, a nurse with Coastal Orthopaedic Associates, PA in Conway, South Carolina has attained her Orthopaedic Nursing Certification (ONC), making her one of less than 70 nurses in the State of South Carolina to hold this distinction.
According to the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board, the certification confers credentials that identify the individual as one who has substantial knowledge in the area of orthopaedic nursing and is proficient in the care of orthopaedic patients.
To achieve the status of ONC, candidates must hold a current and unrestricted license as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States, have two or more years of experience practicing as an RN, and have a minimum of 1,000 hours of experience as a registered nurse within an orthopaedic practice.
Faulkner, a native of Rochester, New York, is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She has been with Coastal Orthopaedic Associates, PA for over three years.
