Federal-Mogul Friction Products expanding in Orangeburg County

COLUMBIA, SC – Federal-Mogul Friction Products announced the expansionof its Orangeburg County operations. The company expects to invest atleast $7 million and generate 40 new jobs at the plant.
Federal-Mogul Corporation is a global supplier of powertrain and safetytechnology to improve fuel economy, reduce emissions and enhance vehiclesafety and performance. The company serves the original equipmentmanufacturers (OEMs) of automotive, light, medium-, heavy-duty,aerospace, marine, rail and off-road vehicles; and industrial,agricultural and power-generation equipment; and provides well-knownbrands in the aftermarket. Federal-Mogul Friction Products — a businessline of Federal-Mogul — develops and manufactures extended-life brakefriction products, with noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) refinement,and is a market-leading supplier of friction products to OEMs.

Federal-Mogul Friction Products has been operating in Orangeburg since1996 and has a 210,000-square-foot facility with 210 employees.
